Welcome to the Impact Art Fair

The Impact Art Fair showcases work by highly talented artists, either outsider or those who manage a disability, either mental or physical.

The Impact Art Fair 2011 featured over 100 artists who came from as far afield as Glasgow and Berlin. Artists included Tim Andrews (‘Over the Hill’), Patrick Joyce (the Incurable Optimist), Alison Lapper, Kim Noble, Lisa Biles, Maria Kuipers, Maria Gilbert, Russell Jones and Ashley Reaks.

We hope this won't be too much of a disappointment but we've decided that the Impact Art Fair is to be a biennial event (once every two years). The next one will now not be until 2013. There are two good reasons for making this decision.

First, we need more time to fundraise for the next Impact Art Fair and there just hasn't been the time to do this. Second, we don't want the Impact Art Fair to clash with Outside In - both events happen during the summer months and we want to avoid artists having to focus on two events at the same time.

The good news is that since last year the Impact Art Fair Partnership has formed. Impact Art Fair 2013 will now be delivered by Creative Future, Studio Upstairs, SLaM (South London and Maudsley) and The Other Side Gallery. The partnership will add to the fairs reach and quality and ensure another critical success. In the meantime, there are various other opportunities for artists - get in touch to be added to the newsletter or keep an eye on the Impact Art Fair Facebook site. Follow us on twitter and facebook
